Ski & Snowboard School Pohorje

The Ski and Snowboard School Pohorje is the largest school in Slovenia and it is operating within the Ski Club Branik Maribor. 200 ski and snowboard instructors of the Ski School Pohorje teach how to ski and snowboard 2000 children and adults in a winter.

Besides teaching skiing and snowboarding, the school is alsovery active on other issues. In the recent years they have been organizing various skiing / snowboarding / guest animation contests.

During its existence, several ski instructors have been managing the ski school. Tone Vogrinec is regarded as a some kind of founder. After he has left for the national ski team, the management of the ski school was taken over by Drago Rataj, who is now in charge of the Ski Club Branik and the Sport Centre Pohorje. Bojan Gerič, the tourism manager in the Sport Centre Pohorje, continued managing the Ski school. Matjaž Vrecl has been managing the school now for ten years.
